There’s much to be said about taking a breather. When the weather gets cold, wet, and misty who could be bothered... ? So maybe that’s the point. Our ups and downs that test the best of us, have us lean into our spaces. They’re offer of a subtle, to the core message can someday be the only reminder that ‘we’ve got this’.
After dinner one night I was drawn into looking at this candle. Quietly spent after burning brightly, it was easy to admire. I noticed that it’s burning had resulted in changes that couldn’t be forged and each drip was beautiful.
Looking at this simple object in this state reminded me how our slowing down after the excitement of being busy can feel. The ‘remaining you’ is changed for ever.
Such sensitivities are what I like to create with/ from for the ‘inspred art to live with’ range. It’s taking that chance to forge something of meaning from what was learned through experience.
